Retrieval
Can the system access the information it needs?
Crawlability, indexability, rendering, important pages, and structured information.
Methodology v1.0 · Updated 2026-08-27
A specialist-led diagnostic for understanding where a brand can be found, understood, and recommended—and the evidence supporting that reading.
Sampling Queries represent relevant buying contexts, categories, and comparisons; they do not claim to capture every possible answer.
Interpretation Findings are prioritised opportunities, not causal guarantees of ranking, recommendation, or conversion.
The model
Can the system access the information it needs?
Crawlability, indexability, rendering, important pages, and structured information.
Can it identify the company and offer correctly?
Entity, category, services, audience, differentiators, and relationships.
Are important claims corroborated?
Citations, authoritative mentions, source diversity, and claim consistency.
Does the brand surface in relevant commercial answers?
Mention presence, citation presence, recommendation presence, question coverage, and competitive gaps.
Confidence and evidence
Confidence varies with query coverage, source availability, language, market, engine behaviour, and the recency of observations. An audit should expose these conditions alongside any conclusion.
Citations are treated as contextual evidence: they can help explain why a claim appears corroborated, but do not prove a causal relationship with a recommendation.
